Sabine Carey at conference on "The political economy of state repression"

Sabine Carey participates in the conference on "The political economy of state repression" at Princeton University, October 21-22, 2016. The conference is organized by Laia Balcells (Duke University) and Carles Boix (Princeton University). She will present the joint project with Anita Gohdes on institutional determinants of journalist killings. 

Sabine Carey honorary guest at Science Slam

On 2 October 2016 Sabine Carey opened the Science Slam in Mannheim. She talked about why so many journalists are killed in democracies, based on a project with Anita Gohdes .

Sabine Carey giving a talk at the Meeting of DAAD-Scholarship Holders

Sabine Carey will be giving a talk on “Why Governments Use Militias in their Own Countries” at the Meeting of Scholarship Holders of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), on the 9th of May 2015. The talk is part of the DAAD meeting “Wachsende Weltbevölkerung und demographischer Wandel – Herausforderungen für Wirtschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft”, which will take place from the 8th to the 10th of May 2015 at the University of Mannheim.
